  • What is career counselling?
Career counselling is a process that focuses on helping one understand one’s own self, as well as work trends, so that one can take an informed decision about career and education. Career counselling helps manage a diverse range of problems such as low concentration levels to poor time management, trust issues with family to non-agreement between parents and children on which career to choose.
  • Why do I need career counselling?
All of us require career guidance at some point in our life. It helps us get insights about ourselves, our career and what we can do to improve it. It helps you pick up the right career and gain confidence and new insights on things you didn’t know. It helps remove career related confusion and provides a model that works for you.
  • What is a career assessment test?
Career Assessments involve various aptitude tests, personality tests, interest tests, IQ tests. These tests are completely objective and the candidates have to choose one answer for each question. These tests provide a 360-degree overview of the candidate's thought process, logical thinking, aptitude, likes, dislikes, and personality traits. Career assessment tests are conducted by career counsellors to determine the personality and talents of the candidate. It helps the counsellor to get a clear interpretation of their candidate’s profile.
  • Do we provide Career Counselling services ?
Online Career counselling in India has now become popular as more and more students are reaching us every day to get career counselling through online mode. We do provide online career counselling services to candidates at the comfort of their homes.
  • Who needs Career Counselling and when?
The perfect time for students to seek career counselling is during the ages 13-17 years (8th standard to 12th standard). This is a time of many changes taking place in their life, both physical and emotional, such as transitioning from school to college, and trying to “fit in” with peers. It is also a time when career decisions are made. This is why they need someone to guide them in the right direction.
  • Will the counsellor suggest courses based on my interest?
The counsellor would suggest a course that best fits the student’s aptitude and personality. Sometimes students are disillusioned by the glamour or popular myths related to a particular career. They may be determined to pursue that career based on the opinions or illusions they have made about that career. Sometimes that decision may or may not be right as it may not match the student’s aptitude or personality. The objective of a good career counselling is to highlight the potential of the student and bring awareness of the possible career choices that the student could be successful at while carefully threading around their area of interest and goals.
  • Can parents accompany the child when the tests occur? Are parents required for the testing?
Parents are not really required during the testing. Parents are required to be there for the counselling sessions. However, if the student is of 18 years of age and above, they could choose to take a session with or without their parents.
